Personal Care

“There’s No Place Like Home – For Growing Old”

You may have had a wake up call alerting you to the fact that caring for your loved one is more than you can manage. We will help you cope with the everyday pressures of care giving, helping you to keep your life stay on track. We are a RN owned and managed private duty Home Health agency licensed by the state of Florida. We support your entire family from newborns through seniors. We are committed to delivering exceptional client centered senior care services,   which enhances our client’s life providing them happiness, safety, and independence. Plus we provide you the peace of mind and freedom to be a kid and not a caregiver for your parents.

We do not send “supervisors or sales” people to your home to do assessments or admissions, only RNs or LPNs . We often start providing services after Medicare or other acute care insurance ends to help in your complete recovery. In addition we help family caregivers who are exhausted or need a break by providing respite care options. Taking the worry out of care giving for you is what we do best.

We are members of the Alzheimer’s Early Detection Alliance, and our agency co-founder and Executive Director of Nursing, Bonnie Charpentier, is a certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disease trainer approved by the State of Florida.

Why choose Partners in Healthcare?

  • We are a RN managed home care agency

  • We provide Liability Insurance and Bonding, plus Worker’s Compensation.
  • All caregivers receive FBI, FDLE and DMV background checks, and are reference checked
  • Support for clients with spinal cord injuries.
  • We are not a employment service such as a Nurse Registry that only employs independent contractors
  • Support for dementia related diseases and related aging problems.
  • Our staff receives training on Alzheimer’s, Parkinson, MS, and other complex medical conditions.
  • The Joint Commission’s latest quality report can be viewed by clicking the following link Dec. 2010
  • Caregiver services are customized to each client and their family!
  • We participate in the Home Health Quality Improvement National Campaign.

What differentiates us from a non-medical “companion-sitter” service, is that Partners in Healthcare is licensed as a Home Health Agency allowing us to provide personal and skilled nursing services. This allows us to match our clients’ needs as their requirements change. PLUS our caregivers are actively managed by an RN Director of Nursing. Rns or LPNs develop and mange your healthcare plan, and visit you monthly or as needed.

Many people believe that if they hire a caregiver privately or an independent contractor through a Nurse Registry they are not an employer. People often think they can beat the system, but read IRS Publication 15-A the Employer’s Supplemental Tax Guide for the facts. Call us we can help explain the differences, baptism by fire can be very costly when dealing with tax code, unemployment compensation, or professional liability insurances.

We make house calls to help keep you at home

Caring for a parent can bring a lot of joy, and it can bring a lot of stress. There are only 24 hours in a day, and it’s much better spent being with the person you love. We’ll help our client with a shower, a ride to the doctor, healthy meals, exercise or therapy. With the right support team, home care becomes a lot easier to manage.   The decision to leave your home or place your loved one into a nursing facility is not one to be taken lightly.  Your home is quite possibly the best place for you, it gives you security, a sense of belonging in the community, friends and, most importantly, independence.

Help with the not-so-little things

As our parents get older, the little things they did every day such as taking a shower, getting dressed, or making a meal become “big” things. We know that letting someone help with personal care is difficult, but having someone assist with a shower or to keep an eye on your loved one can give you tremendous peace of mind. Knowing things will be taken care of when you can’t be there, makes it easier on both of you and lets you enjoy your time together that much more.

Listed below are some of the services we can help with, but our RN care manager will create a plan that is targeted to meet your specific needs.

  • Preparing meals
  • Bathing
  • Shaving
  • Dressing
  • Light cleaning
  • Organizing
  • Exercise
  • And much more

For our clients, our services are vital to relieving the burdens associated with caregiver responsibilities and unnecessary worry for their loved ones’ safety. Our caregivers serve as our nurses eyes, and ears to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of your loved one.

Client Testimonials

“From our first meeting we were impressed with your knowledge of care needed and professionalism. Your excellent care provided proper recovery and a level of independence Mom was hoping to find. Thanks again.”
M.B. (Longwood, FL)

“I shudder to think of what might have happened to our beloved friend had we not signed up with your company just 3 days before she unexpectedly became incapacitated in her own home! You came to the rescue that day and have been by our side ever since providing services in so many different ways! Partners in Healthcare provided the lifeline we needed between Orlando and Jacksonville throughout this difficult time. You were there at the hospitals, the rehab facilities, and nursing homes providing companionship to Mary, as well as, valuable information to us. Now, eight months later, as a result of your reliable actions and trustworthiness, Mary is eager to move back into her “modified” home and resume her life. We owe this smooth transition to your knowledgeable guidance every step along the way! We can’t thank you enough for all you have done so far and look forward to continuing our “partnership” with your company as we enter this new phase of home healthcare for our loved one!”
